A master at classes

So, I recently signed up for Masterclass. If you're not familiar (I wasn't, until the day I signed up), Masterclass is basically a virtual classroom with lessons in a variety of fields taught by renowned professionals in said fields. Kind of like, Khan Academy for adults (and kids too), but instead of focusing on chemistry and art history, Masterclass focuses on skills like film editing, directing, writing, makeup, cooking, and more. Kind of like life skills? Mixed with really cool training for jobs you'd always wanted to pursue but lacked the impetus or opportunity to do so.

I've started taking the Masterclass by Bobbi Brown to learn the basics of makeup techniques. She goes very natural with her looks, which is very refreshing to see. It's a reminder that not everyone has to follow the trend of Instagram model full-face-o'-glam and that the natural look is still preferred by some. Although, I was hoping to see some more of the glam techniques from the class. But, hey, maybe natural is harder to pull off. I guess it makes sense that this is a class focused on the nude look, as Bobbi calls it, since a lot of her makeup is really natural, just an enhancement of human colors. I did learn of the importance of eye cream though, before putting on concealer. Claimed to help reduce creases under your eyes. Interesting. Also, put extra eye cream on your lips. Helps to prevent dryness from the inside out. Interesting. Balm only covers the outside whereas moisturizer locks hydration in on the inside, I think. Very interesting.

Oh yeah, I only signed up for the site because there was a $1 sale for college students for one day only. So I signed up after looking at some of the classes. Originally it's around $180 dollars per year. So yeah. A huge discount.
